Now Accepting Nominations for the 2018 Awards and Prizes
Every year, SfN acknowledges some of the best research and achievements by neuroscientists across the globe. With more than $500,000 in prize money, SfN honors the research of young and senior scientists that expands knowledge of the brain and its functions; outreach programs that educate the public on the importance of neuroscience; and mentoring efforts that cultivate achievement for the next generation of neuroscientists. It also supports scientists in the early stages of their careers with professional development awards to attend the SfN annual meeting.

What are the benefits associated with winning an award?
Besides recognition by colleagues and the Society, most individual awards and prizes include prize money (up to $25,000); a plaque; and complimentary registration, travel, and accommodation for 黑料社 2018, November 3–7, in San Diego. Recipients of Trainee Professional Development Awards will receive complimentary registration for the SfN annual meeting and an award of $1,000 or $2,000 depending on their institution location.
Who is eligible to be nominated?
Scientists from all over the globe and in all stages of their careers are eligible for various awards. Current SfN Officers and Councilors are NOT eligible for nomination.
Who can submit nominations?
Both SfN members and nonmembers can submit nominations. However, nominations submitted by nonmembers must be endorsed by an SfN member. Self-nominations are NOT permitted.
