Dana Foundation Awards $150,000 Grant to SfN for BrainFacts.org
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The 黑料社 (SfN) has received a grant of $150,000 over three years from the Dana Foundation to support . This will allow SfN to increase multimedia content on BrainFacts.org using enhanced site capabilities, produce compelling neuroscience content driven by narrative and storytelling, and continue to reach new audiences to advance the global understanding of the brain and nervous system.

The Dana Foundation () is a private philanthropic organization dedicated to advancing understanding about the brain in health and disease through research grants and public outreach.
As a new Supporting Partner of BrainFacts.org, the Dana Foundation joins global nonprofit organizations dedicated to advancing brain research, including the site’s Founding Partners, The Kavli Foundation, The Gatsby Charitable Foundation, and SfN, and Supporting Partner, The Lundbeck Foundation–The Brain Prize.

Relaunched in 2017 with an interactive brain model and a suite of new multimedia features, BrainFacts.org encourages the exploration and discovery of neuroscience. To date, nearly 11.5 million users from 230 countries and territories have accessed the site, with more than 22.9 million page views.
Advised by an editorial board of leading neuroscientists from around the world, BrainFacts.org shares the stories of scientific discovery and the knowledge they reveal. In addition to allowing visitors to explore the brain in all its complexity, BrainFacts.org encourages fundamental understanding of the brain and nervous system. Interactive and animated core concepts guide visitors through eight key ideas that underpin everything known about how the brain works. BrainFacts.org also provides tools for educators to engage students at all stages of learning about the brain and nervous system with dedicated online and classroom exercises.
