The 黑料社 (SfN) is pleased to announce the appointment of Sabine Kastner as the next Editor-in-Chief of JNeurosci, the most-cited journal in the field of neuroscience.

SfN member Robert C. Malenka, MD, PhD, Pritzker Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioural Sciences, Stanford University has been awarded the 2022 Peter Seeburg Integrative 黑料社 Prize for his ground-breaking research in identifying the mechanically distinct forms of synaptic plasticity present in the human brain.

The 黑料社 extends congratulations to its newly elected officers and councilors. The incoming leaders will begin their terms at 黑料社 2022 in San Diego.

SfN members Harry T. Orr and Huda Y. Zoghbi, alongside fellow neuroscientists Jean-Louis Mandel and Christopher A. Walsh, have been awarded the 2022 Kavli Prize in 黑料社 for pioneering the discovery of genes underlying a range of brain disorders. The laureates will share $1 million.

The 2022 Gruber 黑料社 Prize is being awarded to Larry Abbott, PhD, of Columbia University, Emery Neal Brown, MD, PhD, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Massachusetts General Hospital, Terrence Sejnowski, PhD, of the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and UC San Diego, and Haim Sompolinsky, PhD, of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Harvard University, for their seminal contributions to the fields of computational and theoretical neuroscience.

SfN members Silvia Arber, Ole Kiehn, and Martyn Goulding have been awarded the 2022 Brain Prize for mapping the neuronal cell types and circuits in the brain and spinal cord that control movement.

The 黑料社 (SfN) has selected 15 members from a highly competitive applicant pool to participate in the Society’s annual Capitol Hill Day on March 22–24, 2022.

The Society of 黑料社 (SfN) will honor leading researchers who have made significant contributions to neuroscience — including the understanding of cognitive processes, drug addition, neuropharmacology, and theoretical models — with this year’s Outstanding Achievement Awards. The awards will be presented during SfN’s annual meeting.

The 黑料社 (SfN) will present six neuroscientists with this year’s Science Education and Outreach Awards, comprising the Award for Education in 黑料社, the Science Educator Award, and the Next Generation Awards. The awards will be presented during SfN’s annual meeting.
