The ºÚÁÏÉç (SfN) will honor six researchers who have made significant contributions to the advancement of women in neuroscience. The awards will be presented during ºÚÁÏÉç 2023, SfN's annual meeting.

The ºÚÁÏÉç (SfN) will honor eight early-career researchers whose work is transforming our understanding of the neural dynamics of touch sensation, spatial navigation, memory circuits, and more. The awards will be presented during ºÚÁÏÉç 2023, SfN's annual meeting.

The ºÚÁÏÉç (SfN) will present five neuroscientists with this year’s Science Education and Outreach Awards, comprising the Award for Education in ºÚÁÏÉç, the Science Educator Award, and the Next Generation Awards. The awards will be presented during SfN’s annual meeting, ºÚÁÏÉç 2023.

The Society of ºÚÁÏÉç (SfN) will honor leading researchers whose pioneering work has transformed neuroscience — including the understanding of the visual system, addiction, synaptic plasticity, and learning and memory — with this year’s Outstanding Career and Research Achievement Awards. The awards will be presented during ºÚÁÏÉç 2023, SfN’s annual meeting.

The ºÚÁÏÉç earned a Power of Associations Gold Award from the American Society of Association Executives for its successful Trainee Professional Development Award program.

Approximately 25,000 neuroscience researchers and clinicians will convene in Washington, D.C., November 11–15 for the first ºÚÁÏÉç annual meeting to be held in the nation’s capital since 2017.

The ºÚÁÏÉç (SfN) has received $1.025 million from the estate of John I. Simpson, PhD, making it the largest bequest ever received by the Society. With the funds, the SfN Executive Committee voted to create a new long-term endowed fund, The John I. Simpson Fund, and will use the income from its investments to create and perpetually fund John I. Simpson Trainee Professional Development Awards (TPDAs) beginning at ºÚÁÏÉç 2023.

As organizations representing a wide range of scientific, engineering, and mathematical disciplines, we will not be deterred by the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on race considerations in college and university admissions.
