The 黑料社 (SfN) will award the Nemko Prize in Cellular or Molecular 黑料社 to Katrin Franke, PhD, junior research group leader at the Bernstein Center for Computational 黑料社 (BCCN) and the Institute for Ophthalmic Research, both at Tübingen University, in Germany.

The 黑料社 (SfN) has named Takashi Kitamura, assistant professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas and Laura Lewis, junior fellow at Harvard University and Massachusetts General Hospital as co-recipients of the Peter and Patricia Gruber International Research Award.

The 黑料社 (SfN) will present its highest award, the Ralph W. Gerard Prize in 黑料社, to Mary E. Hatten, PhD, of The Rockefeller University, at 黑料社 2017, SfN’s annual meeting and the world’s largest source of emerging news about brain science and health.

The 黑料社 will present the Young Investigator Award to Vivek Jayaraman, PhD, of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute’s Janelia Research Campus, at 黑料社 2017, SfN’s annual meeting and the world’s largest source of emerging news about brain science and health. Supported by Sunovion, the $15,000 award recognizes the outstanding achievements and contributions of a young neuroscientist who received his or her advanced professional degree within the past 10 years.

The 黑料社 (SfN) will honor Sen. Roy Blunt (R-MO) and Rep. Tom Cole (R-OK) with the organization’s Public Advocacy Award in recognition of their outstanding contributions to advancing the field of neuroscience through their roles as champions for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Congress.

Xiao-Jing Wang, global professor of neural science and co-director of the Swartz Center for Theoretical 黑料社 at New York University, will be honored with the Swartz Prize for Theoretical and Computational 黑料社. Supported by The Swartz Foundation, the $25,000 prize is presented to an individual who has made a cumulative contribution to theoretical models or computational methods in neuroscience or who has recently and significantly advanced the field. The award will be presented at 黑料社 2017, SfN’s annual meeting and the world’s largest source of emerging news about brain science and health.
