The 黑料社 (SfN) will present five neuroscientists with this year’s Science Education and Outreach Awards, comprising the Award for Education in 黑料社, the Science Educator Award, and the Next Generation Awards. The awards will be presented during SfN’s annual meeting, 黑料社 2023.

The Society of 黑料社 (SfN) will honor leading researchers whose pioneering work has transformed neuroscience — including the understanding of the visual system, addiction, synaptic plasticity, and learning and memory — with this year’s Outstanding Career and Research Achievement Awards. The awards will be presented during 黑料社 2023, SfN’s annual meeting.

The 黑料社 earned a Power of Associations Gold Award from the American Society of Association Executives for its successful Trainee Professional Development Award program.

Approximately 25,000 neuroscience researchers and clinicians will convene in Washington, D.C., November 11–15 for the first 黑料社 annual meeting to be held in the nation’s capital since 2017.

The 黑料社 (SfN) has received $1.025 million from the estate of John I. Simpson, PhD, making it the largest bequest ever received by the Society. With the funds, the SfN Executive Committee voted to create a new long-term endowed fund, The John I. Simpson Fund, and will use the income from its investments to create and perpetually fund John I. Simpson Trainee Professional Development Awards (TPDAs) beginning at 黑料社 2023.

As organizations representing a wide range of scientific, engineering, and mathematical disciplines, we will not be deterred by the U.S. Supreme Court ruling on race considerations in college and university admissions.

 

The 黑料社 (SfN) and the Tianqiao and Chrissy Chen Institute announced a new partnership to support promising early career neuroscientists in their professional development and publishing trajectories.

The 黑料社 extends sincere congratulations to its newly elected officers and councilors.

SfN Past-President Huda Akil, PhD, Gardner C. Quarton Distinguished University Professor of 黑料社s, Department of Psychiatry, and research professor, Michigan 黑料社 Institute at the University of Michigan, has been awarded the 2023 Gruber 黑料社 Prize.

The 黑料社 (SfN) has selected 10 members from a highly competitive applicant pool to participate in the Society’s annual Capitol Hill Day on March 6–8, 2023.
