Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Short Course: Tackling Challenges in Data Management, Collection, and Sharing

As science grows increasingly open and collaborative, it is critical for investigators to have a robust plan for data collection, management, and sharing to adhere to changing data sharing mandates. In this short course, experts will discuss the ways they organize, manage, and share scientific data both inside and outside the lab. Attendees will learn to incorporate best practices for receiving, storing, and sharing open data as researchers, libraries, organizations, and faculty. Brain Awareness Campaign Event — Connecting With the Next Generation of Diverse Neuroscientists

Celebrate brain awareness and share your outreach activities with Brain Awareness Week organizers from around the world. Recognize the Brain Awareness Video Contest winners. Join science communicator Asma Bashir and public engagement specialist Leigh Wilson for a keynote address as they share their story of connection and unique perspectives on supporting and celebrating the next generation of diverse neuroscientists through outreach.

Diversity Poster Session

Join a special poster session and networking event featuring participants of the ºÚÁÏÉç Scholars Program - NSP, ENDURE, D-SPAN, and SPINES. The ºÚÁÏÉç Scholars Program (NSP) is a two-year training program open to underrepresented graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.

Early Career Policy Ambassador (ECPA) Posters

The Early Career Policy Ambassador (ECPA) Program poster session will feature poster presentations from past and current ECPAs highlighting their neuroscience advocacy and policy work. The ECPA program is a 10-month program that allows early career scientists to meet with their policymakers and gain the necessary skills to advocate for science and to encourage those in their personal networks to join the conversation. 

FUN Poster Session

The FUN poster session will feature presenters from the Faculty for Undergraduate ºÚÁÏÉç. FUN is an international organization supporting neuroscience research and education at the undergraduate level.

International Fellows Poster Session

The International Fellows poster session and networking event will feature participants of the Latin American Training Program - LATP, International Brain Research Organization - IBRO, Japanese ºÚÁÏÉç Society - JNS and Federation of European ºÚÁÏÉç Societies – FENS. The Latin American Training Program (LATP) is a year-long online training program with a 3-week live course for select participants.

Trainee Professional Development Awards Poster Session

The Trainee Professional Development Awards (TPDA) poster session and networking event will honor award-winning posters from undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.

Career Development Topics: A Networking Event

Experienced neuroscientists will answer attendee questions on a wide range of topics at this informal, roundtable event. Topics include work-life balance, securing grants, setting up a lab, choosing a postdoctoral position, and careers outside of academia, among others. Nearly 30 tables will be offered at the event. During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to rotate among the tables that are of interest to them. Neuroscientists at all career stages are encouraged to attend.

Celebration of Women in ºÚÁÏÉç Event

The annual Celebration of Women in ºÚÁÏÉç Event honors female leaders in neuroscience. During this year's event, Jill Becker, PhD, will moderate a panel discussion focused on the impacts of COVID-19 and how neuroscientists navigated this challenge and found success.
