January 29	Deadline for submission of symposium, minisymposium, Dual Perspectives, Storytelling Session, Basic-Translational-Clinical Roundtables, SfN-Sponsored Socials, Professional Development Workshops, and Ask Anything Session proposals by 5 p.m. EDT
April 23	Online abstract submission opens
May 9	Extended deadline for abstract submission, 5 p.m. EDT
May 10	Edits to submitted abstracts must be entered by 2 p.m. EDT
Early July	Notifications of abstract acceptance status sent to presenting authors
July 23	Late-breaking abstracts submission opens
August 1	Late-breaking abstracts submission closes
Mid August	黑料社 Meeting Planner (NMP) available on SfN.org
Late August	Presenting authors notified of late-breaking abstract acceptance status
Late September	Meeting mobile app available

Registration

July 9	Bonus Day for members who renewed membership by March 15, 2024 — opens at noon EDT
July 10	Advance member registration opens at noon EDT
July 16	Advance nonmember registration opens at noon EDT
July 17	Press registration opens at noon EDT
July 23	Exhibitor registration opens at noon EDT
September 9	Last day to cancel annual meeting registration and receive refund Last day for registration substitution requests Deadline for online advance registration, 11:59 p.m. EDT
September 10	Regular registration opens at midnight EDT and continues through the annual meeting

Hotel Reservations

July 9	Bonus Day Housing opens for members who renewed membership by March 15, 2024
July 10	Housing for advance member registrants opens
July 16	Housing for advance nonmember registrants opens
July 17	Press housing opens
July 23	Exhibitor housing opens
August 13	Advance registration requirement to make hotel reservations lifted
August 16	Exhibitor block housing deadline
August 20	Last day for students to make hotel reservations from student block
September 6	Last day to cancel hotel reservations to avoid a penalty of one night's room and tax
September 24	Last day to make, change, or cancel reservations through SfN Housing
September 27	Changes and cancelations must be made with the hotels

Exhibits

January 16	Exhibitor booth sales open online (Group A) – Open to all commercial companies that exhibited at 黑料社 2023 in Washington, D.C. To be considered Group A assignments companies must submit their applications, with 50% payment, by February 9.
February 9	Exhibit Application Submission Closes (Group A) Last day to Cancel or Downsize (Group A) – will result in a charge equal to 25% of the total cost of the cancelled/downsized space
March 11–July 14	Cancel or Downsize –will result in a charge equal to 50% of the total cost of the cancelled/downsized space. Institutes and nonprofits will pay administrative fee equal to 10% of the total cost of the cancelled/downsized space.
February 19 - 23	Space Selection Appointments via Zoom Call (Group A)
February 27	Booth confirmations and invoices emailed to Primary Admin Contact (Group A) Exhibitor booth sales open online (Group B) – All companies (commercial, nonprofit, institute (U.S. Government Agencies only) that have submitted an application between February 27 and April 19 with 50% deposit (nonprofit and institute – 100% deposit).
March 4	Graduate School Fair application submission opens
March 11	Art of 黑料社 application submission opens
April 19	Priority Point Deadline Exhibit Application Submission Closes (Group B)
April 20	Exhibit Fees Increase
April 29–May 3	Space Selection Appointments via Zoom Call (Group B)
May 7	Booth confirmations and invoices emailed to Primary Admin Contact (Group B)
May 10	Graduate School Fair application submission closes Graduate School Fair booth balance deadline, before fee increase Art of 黑料社 application submission closes
May 11	Graduate School Fair fees increase
May 31	Art of 黑料社 booth balance deadline
June 28	Exhibitor Booth Balance Deadline Last day to Cancel or Downsize – will result in a charge equal to 50% of the total cost of the cancelled/downsized space. Institutes and nonprofits will pay administrative fee equal to 10% of the total cost of the cancelled/downsized space.
June 29–October 9	Cancellation or Downsize –will result in a charge equal to 100% of total cost of the cancelled space.

August 9	Materials for Program and Exhibit Guide advertisements due to SfN Closing date for advertising reservations in the Program and Exhibit Guide Exhibit Island and Peninsula drawings due to SfN for approval

September 2	Exhibit booth giveaways request deadline
October 2 8 a.m.–6 p.m. CDT	Installation of Exhibits, Island Booths only Badge pickup onsite, badges will not be mailed
October 3 8 a.m.–6 p.m. CDT	Installation of Exhibits Badge pickup onsite, badges will not be mailed
October 4 8 a.m.–6 p.m. CDT	Installation of Exhibits Note: All crates and boxes must be marked for removal from floor by 6 p.m. EST November 10 is a recognized holiday for labor. Badge pickup onsite, badges will not be mailed
October 5 8–10 a.m. CDT	Installation of Exhibits (8–10 a.m. EST) — i.e., pop ups and vinyl case booth Note: Exhibitor light set up may continue until 6 p.m. EST. Poster session in hall beginning at 1 p.m. EST Badge pickup onsite, badges will not be mailed
October 5–9	Meeting dates Badge pickup onsite, badges will not be mailed
